Privacy Policy

How Not Embarrassing handles data, privacy, and security.

Effective date: February 25, 2026

Not Embarrassing Privacy Policy

Not Embarrassing is designed for private, sensitive symptom tracking. Privacy is a core product principle.

1) Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate and improve the app, which may include account details (when enabled), product diagnostics (such as crash reports), and content you choose to enter (such as symptom logs, notes, or reminders).

2) How We Use Information

We use data to provide and maintain app functionality, improve reliability and security, support optional sync/backup features, and send essential service communications. We do not sell your personal data.

3) Sensitive Health Data

Data entered in Not Embarrassing may include sensitive health-related information. We apply heightened safeguards and strict access controls.

4) Data Sharing

We do not share personal data with advertisers. We may share limited data with trusted processors (infrastructure, analytics, diagnostics) under contractual protections, and where legally required.

5) Data Retention

We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service, satisfy legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data where applicable.

6) Security

We use industry-standard safeguards for data in transit and at rest and continuously improve technical and organizational controls.

7) Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data.

8) Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 (or equivalent minimum age by jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9) International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country. When applicable, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and safeguards.

10) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will update the effective date and include additional notice when required.
